One more year of gloating
HUUUURRRRAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
The screams of joy and delight have just erupted at 119 Chalmers Mountain Road as the Clemson Tigers have pulled out a hard fought 13 – 9 victory over arch-nemesis and the epitome of evil - the University of South Carolina. (Let me scrub my fingers with Lysol for typing those vile words.)
And here’s a Jack Daniels’ toast to the Tigers and to all you Tiger fans out there. Well, at least Summer and I opened the bottle and had a taste in celebration of the victory.
Tonight’s victory was in doubt until late in the 4th quarter as both teams exchanged field goals and turnovers. I would have much more preferred a game like two years ago when the Asian-flu infested birds from Columbia were vaccinated with 63 units of pure Tiger touchdown serum. Now, those on the side of truth and light, orange and white, can gloat for another 365 days over the purveyors of darkness and deceit, the garnet and black.
How sweet is the ecstasy of victory!
